“Impact not busyness”
The above is NMI Vision for The Bridge Church of the Nazarene simplied.
The objective is not to host numerous activities/events which is usually misperceived for productiveness, however, focus on four (4) areas which would enable greater impact locally yet developing a Global Missions mindset.
Identity, The GOAL ,Creative arts and Fellowship. These are the four pillars the Bridge NMI stands by and should be held accountable to.
Identity: Knowing who we are , What is missions and the importance of taking part in GODs mission of being instrumental in making Christ-like disciples. Some of the questions answered were, what is Missions and what role Missions can play, locally and internationally, in spreading the Gospel. NMI continues to strategically plan and host more workshops to educate people about who they are in Christ and their call to God’s Mission.
The Goal : Transforming the lives of children and youth by providing safe spaces and educational programs that promote character development, inspire reading and encourage healthy lifestyle through football We believe in ministering through sports, NMI ministers to over 50+ Young Boys and Girls in through The GOAL Organization, This is achieved by Leadership and Character ,Prayer sessions before and after the program.
Creative Arts: creative arts can teach children and adults a body and mind embracing way of living, believing and being in God’s world, art offers a medium of reflection that opens the soul to insight and strength through music, visual arts, movement and dance, and drama and storytelling. If we believe that prayer is the central core of life, then creative arts, which becomes prayer, also expresses our relationship to God, to others, People who enjoy all aspects of creative art can use it for God’s glory, as a means of celebration and worship and to serve the body of Christ. It is important to remember that, if God put a desire in your heart to dance, sing or create another form of art, you were made to use your talents to glorify God.
Fellowship: Identity is important as it allows for one to know themselves and what God has called them to do. fellowship is an innovative way to minister the Gospel in a Volatile Generation however what happens when we have done it all!? Fellowship is third Pillar of NMI and is all about accountability and Sustaining New and Old Relationships. We are about keeping in touch and walking the Christ Journey with you all the way.
